Byron V. Reid, VMD

Dr. Reid is the owner and founder of Reid and Associates Equine Referral Hospital. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Vet School and completed an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at Iowa State University along with a large animal surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. He was the equine surgeon at Palm Beach Equine Clinic from 1982 though 1995, and has more than 20 years of surgical experience.

Meg Miller Turpin, DVM

Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Dr. Miller Turpin graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island in 1995. She completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky and completed a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School in 1998. Dr. Miller Turpin specializes in internal medicine case management and consultation on challenging medicine cases. She is the owner and founder of Equine Medicine Specialists of South Florida.

Christina Caggiano, Technician

Christina is a lifetime equestrian who is very experienced in a wide variety of aspects in the horse industry. She graduated from Meredith Manor International School of Horsemanship in 2006 where she received an Equine Science Degree. After graduating, she went back to her hometown of Wellington, Florida to work and manage for top professionals in the show industry. She has been a veterinary technician for 15 years, and has been operating our hyperbaric chamber since 2017. In her free time, she spends time with her family and goes diving.

Kala Hall, Technician

Kala grew up in Wellington, Florida and has worked as an equine veterinary technician since 2016. She has been working as Dr. Miller’s veterinary technician for over 2 years, and joined our hyperbaric team in 2019. Her goal is to become a large animal veterinarian, specializing in internal medicine. Kala will soon have her certification as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist – Veterinary. When she is not working, Kala enjoys riding horses and practicing Animal Reiki.
